EAST WITTERING & BRACKLESHAM PARISH COUNCIL
You are hereby summoned to the Meeting of the Parish Council to be held on
12 June 2008 at 7pm in the Lecture Room, Fire Station, Oakfield Road.AGENDA
1. Apologies for absence.
2. Declarations of Interest.
3. Minutes of the Council’s meeting held on 12 May, 2008.
4. Matters arising from the last Council meeting on 12 May not included elsewhere on the agenda.
5. Youth Club. To receive a brief slide show on the activities which have taken placing during the year.
6. Public Questions.
7. Reports from District and County Councillors.
8 Finance.
8.1 Statement of current financial position - copy provided to Councillors before meeting.
8.2 Bank reconciliation approval by Chairman.
8.3 Accounts for payment - copy to be provided to Councillors before meeting.
8.4 To agree to fund 50% (£45) towards replacement clutch for handyman’s strimmer, broken whilst strimming Booker Green.
8.5 Approval of the draft financial statements for 2007-08 - Councillors have already received a copy of the draft Annual Accounts.
8.6 To approve the annual Statement of Assurance in connection with the accounts for the year ended 31st March 2008.
9. Bylaws for Downview POS. Cllrs. Lowe and Breeze to provide an update on the provision of new bylaws.
10. Coastal Matters.
10.1. To receive information on the Pagham to East Head Coastal Strategy.
10.2 To receive an update on a meeting with West Wittering Parish Council regarding the end of Shore Road.
10.3 To discuss the footpath access along the seafront from Shore Road to east of the beach huts.
11. Police.
11.1 Police Community Support Officers To receive a response to the Council’s request to accompany PCSOs on patrol.
11.2 To receive a request from a Parishioner to address speeding in Church Road after two recent accidents.
12. Highways.
12.1 Street Lights Report from Mr. Breeze.
12.2 Grass Cutting. Cllr. Lowe to report.
12.3 Flooding in the Parish - particularly The Parade and Peerley Close.
13. Football Pavilion repairs - update.
14. St Richards Hospital. To receive an update on the recommendation to upgrade Worthing.
15. Bracklesham Park.
15.1 To receive an update on the community facilities.
15.2 To discuss the Lottery application and legal and financial matters.
16. Christmas Lights Working Party. To receive an update on progress and any items for consideration.
17. Parish Council Office.
17.1 To agree a budget of £75 to carry out work to provide a vent for the air conditioning unit subject to approval by the landlords.
17.2 Any further information from the Clerk and the Chairman regarding the office.
18. Urgent matters that the Chairman wishes to bring to the attention of the Council.
