P09.108.7 EWB/09/03909/OUT Exors Of N C T Watford Dec’d. Martlets Peerley Road EW. Demolition of existing house and erection of 5 no. detached dwellings.
Comment: Flood risk and drainage needs thorough investigation.
The Committee OBJECTED to the following application:
P09.108.8 EWB/09/04360/DOM Mr J Fairbairn. Somerswood House 144 Stocks Lane EW. To demolish existing single storey conservatory to rear and to build 2 no. conservatories. (Resubmission EWB/09/02469/DOM.)
Reasons: The plans are unclear. They show the existing conservatory being replaced plus an extra two conservatories. The height of eastern boundary wall and proposed extension roofline is excessive, causes loss of light to adjacent property and its overbearing appearance is detrimental to the adjacent property’s amenities. Question 3 on the application form – date is incomplete. Question 7 on the application form – the answer should be ‘Yes, there are nearby trees.’ The plan also shows new walls and constructions on the western side of property not mentioned on the application form. This committee objects to this application for the above reasons and in view of the unclear plans and descriptions recommend this be deferred for clarification.
