MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BRACKLESHAM PARK COMMITTEE
HELD ON 12 JANUARY 2010 IN THE PARISH COUNCIL OFFICE, WITTERING WALK

10.1. Election of Chairman
The Committee agreed to rotate the Chairmanship in alphabetical order. Cllr. John Gunning took the Chair for the meeting.
10.2. Election of Vice Chairman.
The Committee agreed that until the Committee expanded there was no requirement for a Vice Chair.
10.3. Apologies for absence. None
10.4. Byelaws. To consider draft byelaws.
The Committee received a copy of the Model Bylaws from the Secretary of State. It asked the Clerk to clarify a few clauses, in particular with regard to flying of model planes.
10.5. To discuss informative signage required in the park.
The Committee were shown pictures of the existing signage in the Park. It asked the Clerk to investigate using a substantial printed plastic coating in order to revise the logo and contact details. The telephone number will be changed to the Parish Council office.
10.6. To consider the timing of the promotion of the centre.
The Committee agreed to the promotion of the following events:
a. Turning of the first sod of earth. This will have to take place in a controlled situation and may give a better visual impact if carried out by a digger in a fenced area allowing more people to see the event. The Committee await a start date.
b. Topping out ceremony. The finishing of the roof will be another opportunity to celebrate. Date to be advised.
c. Open afternoon and evening on Wednesday 15 September display the development to potential users.
10.7. Urgent matters that the Chairman wishes to bring to the attention of the Committee. None.
The date and venue of the next meeting of the Bracklesham Park Committee will be posted on Parish
noticeboards.
