Business Car Park opens in Marine Drive
A new business car park in East Wittering has been completed and is now open for use.
A surfaced extension was added on to the Marine Drive car park, creating 41 spaces for local businesses and their staff members.
Local businesses can now obtain free permits online or by contacting Parking Services on 01243 534500.
Following the opening of the new business car park, charges will be implemented from Monday 3 October in the council’s Northern Crescent car park. The charges will be up to two hours free, £1 for up to three hours, £2 for up to four hours, with a maximum stay of four hours.
The new car park was created to try and make sure that there are sufficient short stay spaces in Northern Crescent, for those shoppers and visitors who need easy access to parking spaces close to the shops and other facilities for a short period only.
