Burglaries on the Manhood Peninsular
Overnight from Saturday 8th October to Sunday 9th October 2011 there were four burglaries within the Manhood Peninsular, reported to police early hours Sunday.
On all four occasions it appears that access was gained through an insecure door, enabling the suspect(s) to walk in and out within seconds with a number of high value items.
Two reports were from the Itchenor area and two from the West Wittering area. A total of five laptops, two iPhones, three cameras, one iPad, a handbag, a number of wallets and a quantity of cash were all stolen.
Acting Sergeant Emmett said, “These crimes have had a major affect on the local residents within the targeted areas. This area of Sussex is generally a very safe and pleasant place to work and live. Someone within the community must have a suspicion about who is responsible and I would urge them to contact the police on the number below or to contact me directly and in confidence with any information which could help. Please ensure that your house is left secure at all times. Don’t make it easy for thieves!
