The Villages

The Parade Both East Wittering and Bracklesham have a fantastic variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are butchers, greengrocers, bakers and fishmongers as well as general stores. For those visitors who do not wish to cook every night, there is a wide range of restaurants and takeaways serving fish and chips, Chinese, Indian and Thai food and pizza to name but a few. . Many of the cafes, restaurants and pubs have outdoor areas where you can enjoy the temperate climate of the area. The villages also have specialist shops which cater for most watersports including surfboard and wetsuit hire. For visitors who wish to browse, there are a selection of clothes and gift shops packed with quality goods.

East Wittering has both a medical centre and a dental surgery if you should need either of these facilities during your stay.

The Parade There is a selection of self-catering accommodation available in both Bracklesham and East Wittering. On the outskirts of the village there are touring sites for tents, caravans and motor homes so that once you arrive, your car is no longer needed. Luckily, the flat terrain means that walking and cycling are ideal modes of transport.
If you do want to venture to the beautiful cathedral city of Chichester (approx 7 miles), there is a regular bus service from both East Wittering and Bracklesham which takes about 25 minutes. If the weather is not kind during your stay, the Parish Council Office in Wittering Walk shopping arcade in East Wittering has details on many local attractions in this vibrant area of Sussex.
